Spring 2021 Clients

Client Background: Wish Upon a Teen is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to providing resources, time and opportunities to teenagers with severe life-limiting medical conditions. Through creative, social, and educational opportunities, their goal is to normalize their
environment and rebuild their self-esteem as they transition to adulthood.
Project Scope: Developed new fundraising opportunities for Wish Upon a Teen to host and to provide materials to boost marketing/engagement.
Impact/Value of SCNO: Overall, the client was very happy with our work and thought that the marketing and fundraising deliverables were very valuable to the non-profit.

Client background: One Love Global is a nonprofit based in Lansing whose goal is to break trans-generational cycles of poverty and trauma in the Black community through social entrepreneurship and leadership development.
Project Scope: Developed communication materials to aid in growing the Beloved Community Fund and identified institutional donor prospects for the Beloved Community Fund.
Impact/Value of SCNO: Overall we were able to provide our client with a Prospective Donor Packet that would contribute to their $250,000 W.K. Kellogg Foundation matching grant, a Corporate Pitch Deck outlining our clients value proposition, and a Campaign Materials Toolkit containing versatile campaign materials, ideas, and tips designed to be used by One Love Global's communications team.

Client Background: Mittens for Detroit is a non-profit organization that collects and distributes mittens/ gloves to those in need through donations and volunteers.
Project Scope: Created a dashboard to help better manage quantities of mittens being received and distributed. In addition to this, we researched grants that were awarded to nonprofits specifically in the Pontiac, Michigan area.
Impact/Value of SCNO: The SCNO team was able to provide Mittens for Detroit a valuable tool that can be used to better manage where Mittens are being distributed as well as provided them
with good contacts to ensure when they plan to expand, they are able to reach out and receive the funding they need.

Client Background: Civic Champs is a tech startup based out of Indiana who primarily offer a volunteer management service platform for nonprofit organizations.
Project Scope: Provided a marketing strategy for their newsletters and insight on potential market entries. Gathered insight on newsletter structuring and 5 Churches for market entry reports.
Impact/Value of SCNO: Overall the SCNO team was able to provide deep insight on the church industry and suggested a variety of subsections for their monthly newsletters. We were also able to provide raw interview data on responses, which was highly valued by Civic Champs.

Client Background: Mi Work Matters is a Michigan based non-profit helping adults with developmental disabilities obtain employment. The coffee shop, Anastasia and Katie’s Coffee, is run by the nonprofit and was the major focus of the deliverable.
Project Scope: Found alternatives to the dine-in structure of the coffee shop, devised a system for online shipping of bagged coffee, created partnerships with corporations to sponsor the hiring of adults with developmental disabilities, and developed tips to recruit expertise to the Executive Board.
Impact/Value of SCNO: Our deliverable provided the client with meaningful solutions to implement a bagged coffee sale system, recruit needed accounting expertise to their executive
board, and find solutions to advance the coffee shop and nonprofit as a whole.
